Minors & Majors Divisions
| DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TIER I vs TIER II |
MINORS IS:
- A great house program for players that want to go out and have fun
- Great for 11/12 year olds that are still developing their skills or confidence
- For 11/12 year olds that want to play ball but do not have the time commitment for the Majors division
MAJORS IS:
- For more competitive players that are committed to working hard and attending all practices/games
- More focused on winning and strategic plays
- At a higher level of play with higher throwing speeds (60+ MPH)
11/12 MINORS
- Teams are made up of 12 players
- 2 games/ week + 1-2 practices/ week is typical
- Refined plays are developed
- The Minor division is formed by 11 year olds that do not fill the necessary spaces in the Major division and includes 12 year olds who evaluate at this level.
- Fair Play Rule continues to be in effect
- Jersey, cap, socks, belt & pants are supplied
- You will need your own glove (Little League glove size is a maximum of 12'), helmet & sports cup (mandatory)
- Teams are selected by a draft process after all players are graded to determine skill level
- Grading is done by a hired 3rd party or by NLDS coaches
- It is ESSENTIAL that all players attend 50% of the available grading sessions in order for the League to assess where players are best suited to play to ensure a safe and successful season.
- Skills Grading occurs in February - Players that do not grade will automatically be place on a Minor team
- Umpires officiate over every game both during regular season and during the playoffs
