15/18-YEAR-OLD - SR. DIVISION

NOTES FOR 2011:
  • If registration #'s are sufficient then NLDS will split the Seniors division into a 15/16 year old group and a 17/18 year old Big League Group.
  • To All Juniors and 15 year old Seniors,

    NL Baseball is hosting Pre-Season training run by coach Will Smith (JR Tier 1 Coach) and other league volunteers.  Training is available free of charge to all 2011 Juniors  and 15 year old Seniors.

    NL Baseball has hired pitching Coach Chris Strain to be on hand for the pitching/catching portions of the program.

    Training will be held on Wednesdays and Mondays leading up to the season. 

    It is recommended that all Juniors players intending to trying out for the Tier 1 Team should attend as often as possible.  Tier 1 tryouts will be held during the JR division grading on Sat. March 12th (schedule to follow)

    Senior players are not eligible for the JR Tier 1 team.  These training sessions are extended to the 1st year SR players to get the dust off those gloves as they transition into the new division.

    Training schedule is as follows:


    Cage Sessions:
    Beginning
    Wed, Feb. 9th, 2011
    running till the start of season

    7 - 8pm - 13 yr-old JRs
    8 - 9 pm - 14 yr-old JRs and 15 yr-old SRs



    Fielding Sessions:
    Beginning
    Mon, Feb. 28th, 2011
    weather permitting & running till the start of season
    7 - 8pm - 13 yr-old JRs
    8 - 9 pm - 14 yr-old JRs and 15 yr-old SRs




    All Training to be held at Walnut Grove Park
    in the Cage or on the All-Weather Field

    The above schedule may be modified as needed to accommodate pitching & catching sessions
    which would include a mix of all ages attending together but alternating in shifts.

  • Walnut Grove Park - Junior/Senior Diamond ... SEE MAPS TO ALL PARKS
  • Interlock - with Langley City, Coquitlam, Whalley, White Rock & other Little League Districts 

 WHAT TO EXPECT:


  • Teams are made of up to 15 players to ensure there are enough working teens that can attend games to have a team!
  • Teams are made up evenly by the coordinator / coaches / executive in an effort to accommodate more car-pooling etc.
  • Teams play amongst themselves and play outside of the League within the District (Langley City, White Rock, Coquitlam, Whalley)
  • Jersey, cap, pants, belt, socks are provided
  • You must have your own helmet, glove and sports cup (mandatory)
