NL Baseball is in the process of updating the Division pages
to reflect the many changes that will take place in 2012.
See below for some of the changes:
- 4 Year Olds - TBall
- TBall format instead of Blastball
- Leading into coach pitch or machine pitch at the end of the season for
those players that are ready for the next step
- Parent participation on the field is mandatory for this age group to ensure all players have success
- 2 games / week on set days of either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs
- 5 & 6 Year Olds - Super-T
- Players start out hitting off the machine
- Tee's will still be used as needed with a TBall format
- 2 games per week on set days of either Wed/Sat or Thurs/Sat
- Group Coach/Player Development to be introduced this season every Monday - Stay Tuned for more details on this exciting development
- 7 & 8 Year Olds
- Now called the "Mini 7s & 8s"
- 7 year olds and 8 year olds will play in the same division in 2012
- the entire season will be machine pitch with player's pitching skills being developed in practices
- 2 games per week rotating Tuesdays thru Fridays and on Weekends
- Group Coach/Player Development to be introduced this season every Monday - Stay Tuned for more details on this exciting development
- 9 - 12 Year Olds
- Divisions within this age bracket are being evaluated by the District & will be configured to a District formula in January pending registration numbers
- District 3 will attempt to configure these ages with the same ages in each division to improve interleague play
- Those
players making the Majors Division will play up to 24 games in the season & will have
a major fee added to their registration once drafted to these teams
- Non Major divisions will play 15-18 games per season
- Games fall on any day of the week
- Teams may travel to Langley City or other District 3 leagues to play interlock games.

- Juniors
- Little League continues to have this division available for the 13 & 14 year old ages
- Teams travel to Langley City, Whalley & Coquitlam a couple times during the season to play other leagues
- Senior & Big League
- Little League has changed the ages for these divisions as follows:
- Seniors - Ages 13-16
- Big League - Ages 15-18
- Teams travel to Langley City, Whalley & Coquitlam a few times during the season to play other leagues
- 50'/70' Pilot Program
- Little League will introduce a new division NEXT YEAR in the 2013 Season for the ages of 11 to 13 year olds
- Base paths will increase from 60' to 70' with the pitching mound set back at 50'
- Full Baseball rules apply with lead offs.
- NL Baseball may introduce this division in 2012 pending District 3 participation
